Taking on the Impact of Learning

image

This week students have been showing us how their learning has impacted their lives outside of school.

It's been thrilling to see what we teach here at school hit the hearts and lives of our students. This week we have had four students bring in items - found or made - and share their personal progress with what we have taught.

Each student here is from a different class within Team Hapua. Here, they have shown their interest in:

-  Inquiry, as one student revisited Williowbank Wildlife Reserve and wrote about her experience with the Kiwi.

- Reading, with a connection made within a book about our previous dollar notes and coins.

- Mathematics, in further practicing multiplication. "I did it in the car while I was waiting" she said.

- Report writing, with a poster filled with facts about our kiwi.

We LOVE this and if there are anymore things like this that you've talked with your child about, or that they're interested in, BRING THEM IN!

Parents, caregivers and a certain nanny - thank you for encouraging these children to make their learning become a real part of their lives!
